If you have to travel to another UK airport under your own steam, a coach is often the most relaxing and cheapest way of getting there. Speedlink offers a service to Heathrow, every 15 minutes from 05:15 to 11:00, every 20 minutes 11:00 and 12:00 and every 30 minutes from 12:00 to 22:30. The journey takes 1 1/2 hours which includes complimentary tea or coffee. Other snacks can be bought at reasonable cost. The Speedlink coaches do not go from the Coach Station, but from between the South Terminal building and Ashdown House.
Tickets for the Speedlink service can be bought from the Tourist Information Centre on the Arrivals concourse of South Terminal, the Speedlink desk on the Arrivals concourse at North Terminal or the Speedlink waiting room. However, if you buy your ticket from the Tourist Information Centre, you must check in at the Speedlink desk in their waiting room, or you may not get a seat on the next departing coach. Tickets for Speedlink are not available from the Bus and Coach Information kiosks.
Jetlink, with a half-hourly service and also serves Stansted and Luton.
