The Disabled Persons Reporting System is a national service available to passengers travelling anywhere on the rail network. Call 01273 324487 between 09:00 and 16:30 for personal service. There is an answering machine on which you can leave a message if you have to call outside these hours.
Travelling on the London Underground is not a good idea if you have limited mobility or are laden with heavy baggage. At many stations there are long escalators to tackle and, at peak times, the jostling and general busyness can be quite daunting. Providing you use common sense, you need have no fears as to your personal safety or the safety of your belongings on the Tube. The stations are usually well lit, with staff on duty and camera monitoring.
Give as much notice as possible when using the Disabled Persons Reporting System, and in any case not less than 48 hours notice before travel. The number to call is 01273 324487.
