Many frequent flyer programs attract a discount on car rental, and all the companies give preferential status to the customers of selected airlines. It is always worth telling the reservations clerk which airline you are travelling with, because the discounts are appreciable. Make sure you return your car with a full tank - the rental companies all charge a very high rate for fuel.
