Heathrow has three medical centres, all staffed by trained nurses, where minor medical treatment can be obtained. Two of the facilities are run by British Airways, and the other by BAA Heathrow. Medical emergencies are handled by the London Ambulance Service through the national emergency service number, 999.
If you have an existing medical condition which may be affected by flying, you should inform your airline and get your doctor to complete a medical information form that describes your condition and certifies you fit to fly. Remember to keep any essential medication with you in your hand luggage.
Passengers who require medical assistance should contact the information desk in the Arrivals hall of their Terminal, or call 0181 5627070. For emergency response use any phone to call 999 and ask for the ambulance service.
